You can get Warren booking records through a FOIA request. Michigan's Freedom of Information Act at MCL § 15.231 gives everyone the right to public records. Booking records are public. To request them, write to the Warren Police Department at 29900 Civic Center Blvd, Warren, MI 48093. You can also email police@warrenpd.org with your request. Include the person's full name and the approximate date of arrest. Under MCL § 15.233, you do not need to explain why you want the records.
The department has five business days to respond. That is the rule under MCL § 15.235. They can take ten more days if the request is complex. Fees for copies run $0.10 to $0.25 per page. Labor gets billed at the rate of the lowest paid clerk who can do the work. If the total goes past $50, expect a deposit request. Indigent requesters can get the first $20 waived up to two times a year under MCL § 15.234.
